The realtor gave us a two sets of keys, I thought the ring she gave me had both sets and we'd have to separate it. Nope! I have 8 keys for this house. No kidding. There is one for: the front gate, front gate door, front door gate, front door, back door gate and laundry room. Those I have figured out. The other two may be for the pool 1/2 bath and pool pump area? I don't know.
It's a nice house. Basic according to the realtor, but servers our needs and I don't have to worry too much about the boys destroying it. The pool is a total bonus and we're 2 blocks to the ocean. We've gone down there almost every evening to play while the sun goes down.
My parents arrived late Monday night. Yesterday, we played in the pool, went grocery shopping, tried to figure out some tours and went out to eat. It was an outdoor restaurant/bar called the Shack. On the way home we met another couple who have lived down here for 7 years. She had lots of useful info for us. (Like the best place to get groceries - which are way more pricey then expected.) She told us prices have gone up significantly since they moved here. They were actually in the process of moving back to the states.
Today, Daddy and Grandpa K took a taxi to Tamarindo just to see what there was to see. It's a big surfer town in the area. Mom and Grandma K went to another tourist place to check out more tours. We found some good ones and will share what we do over the next few days.
Here are some pictures of our house. The laundry room is separate from the main house. No dryer, just hang on the line. (Wonder how we dry in the rainy season? Guess we'll find out in a month or so...)
